Bouquets & Brickbats

bouquetTeaching Responsible Earth Education of New Orleans received a $20,000 grant from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency in support of the organization’s Outdoor Program for Urban Youth. The fourth-grade science program offers city dwellers hands-on experience with different life systems and tips on how to lessen their personal impact on the immediate environment. The Kenner-based Louisiana Environmental Education Association also will receive a $1,600 grant for its work with educators.
