The Times-Picayune (St. Tammany)

St Tammany Parish Students Learn about Life Cycles

The fourth and fifth grade students of St. Tammany and Tangipahoa Parishes recently learned about soil, water and air cycles in a program presented by T.R.E.E. (Teaching Responsible Earth Education).

The program is funded by the Lake Ponchartrain Basin Foundation.

T.R.E.E has been enlisted to help these students become responsible earth educators by teaching them about soil, water and air cycles in the Lake Pochartrain Basin and how their actions affect the cycles.

The Lakekeepers Program is an exciting hands-on program that allows students to discover and explore the world around them, and building on knowledge they know, learn what their role is in the cycles.
